In this perspective, the European guidelines for the use of anti-TNF therapy in psoriasis published in 2009 [36], the British Association of dermatologist guidelines for the use of biological interventions in psoriasis published in 2005 [37] and the Japanese guidance for use of biologics for psoriasis published in 2013 [38] consider active chronic hepatitis B as relative or absolute contraindication to the use of anti-TNF agents. Here, TNF is linked to chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
