In a study of CML pathogenesis, Long et al. [106] evaluated the role of the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway, and reported that Hh-related genes such as Sonic hedgehog (Shh), Smoothened (Smo), and Gli1 genes were significantly upregulated in CML patients when compared with normal people. The gene discussed is SHH; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
