The endothelial dysfunction induced in mesenteric microvessels by two weeks evolution diabetes involved the activation of vascular pro-oxidant and pro-inflammatory pathways, since the dysfunction was partially prevented by pre-incubation with the NADPH oxidase blocker apocynin (Figure 7A), the superoxide anion scavenger tempol (Figure 7B), the COX blocker indomethacin (Figure 7C), or the iNOS inhibitor 1400 W (Figure 7D). Here, FMO5 is linked to endothelial dysfunction.
