Alexandre and coworkers [40] subsequently reported that two mimics of SOD (CuDIPS; MnTBAP) and Mangafodipir (chelates manganese with SOD-, catalase-, and glutathione reductase-like properties) increased the cytotoxicity of oxaliplatin, paclitaxel, and 5-fluorouracil in CT26 colon cancer cells in a dose-dependent manner through increased H2O2 accumulation. The gene discussed is GSR; the disease is colonic neoplasm.
