Siddiqui et al reported that low propofol concentrations (10–100 μM) produced minimal caspase-3 expression in breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231), while this effect was more profound with significant increases in caspase-3 when propofol was conjugated with omega-3 polyunsaturated long-chain fatty acids [7].
