All in all, we found indications from prospective studies that meat interacts with polymorphisms in PTGS2, IL10, ABCB1, NFKB1, XPC, and MSH3, but not IL1B, HMOX1, ABCC2, ABCG2, NR1I2, NR1H2, NAT1, NAT2, MSH6, or MLH1 in relation to CRC (Table 1). The gene discussed is NAT2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
