All in all, we found indications from prospective studies that meat interacts with polymorphisms in PTGS2, IL10, ABCB1, NFKB1, XPC, and MSH3, but not IL1B, HMOX1, ABCC2, ABCG2, NR1I2, NR1H2, NAT1, NAT2, MSH6, or MLH1 in relation to CRC (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene NR1I2 and colorectal carcinoma.
