NASH group: higher prevalence of SIBO (77.78% vs. 31.25%; p < 0.0001), higher TLR4 on CD14+ cells expression (p < 0.05); higher levels of IL-8 (p = 0.04), which correlated positively with TLR4 expression (r = 0.5123, p = 0.036). This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
