DAPK1 and colorectal cancer: MiR-135b has been found to be up-regulated in mouse embryo fibroblasts and human colorectal cancer cell lines [77], and up-regulation of miR-135b resulted in a reduction in apoptosis and an increase in cell growth due to the down-regulation of transforming growth factor β receptor 2 (TGFβR2), death-associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK1),Adenomatous Polyposis Coli (APC), and FIH, and the activation of APC/β-catenin and SRC-PI3K pathways.
