[17] Baseline characteristics of these participants are shown in table 2. The cohort includes 82 patients who were using an ACE inhibitor and 204 patients not using ACE-inhibitors. Patients using an ACE inhibitor and those not using an ACE inhibitor had similar baseline characteristics with respect to gender, age, smoking status, and AAA diameter, but were dissimilar with respect to systolic blood pressure and diabetic disease (Table 2). The gene discussed is ACE; the disease is triple-A syndrome.
