Then, we further determined expressions of phospho-Aurora-A (p-Aurora-A), total Aurora-A and other apoptosis-related proteins (PTEN, Bcl-2, Bax and cleaved caspase-3) after ADR or CDDP treatment of HCC cell lines, and results indicated that pretreatment with ADR (0.5 μg/ml) or CDDP (1.0 μg/ml) for 24h led to decrease in expression of Aurora-A, p-Aurora-A and Bcl-2 proteins, and increase in expression of Bax, PTEN and cleaved caspase-3 proteins (Figure 2C and D).
