Drouot et al. (2011) found a lack of association between low ventricular CSF orexin and sleepiness in PD, and a relation between high levels of orexin-A in PD associated with loss of REM muscle atonia (Bridoux et al., 2013), while Wienecke et al. (2012) reported association between low CSF orexin levels and sleepiness in PD. This evidence concerns the gene HCRT and Parkinson disease.
