Tateno et al. (2012) reported similar CSF α-synuclein levels in PD, MSA, DLBD, and controls but higher CSF α-synuclein levels in AD patients, while Ohrfelt et al. (2009) found higher CSF α-Syn levels in AD than in DLDB and PD, and in DLBD than in PD patients. This evidence concerns the gene SNCA and Alzheimer disease.
