IGHE and asthma: In the present study, we found that patients with a longitudinal increase in total IgE used on-demand OCS more frequently, were more likely to have been treated at levels above Step 4, had more episode of acute exacerbation within a year, had lower ACT scores, and were more likely to have uncontrolled asthma than patients with a longitudinal decrease in IgE or no change in IgE.
