PML and acute myeloid leukemia: For examples, the chromosomal abnormalities, t(9;22)(q34;q11) (BCR-ABL), t(15;17)(q22;q12) (PML-RARα) and t(8;21)(q22;q22) (AML-ETO), are present in 90% to 95% of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) cases, in more than 99% of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) cases and in 8% to 20% of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cases, respectively.
