ERBB2 and ovarian cancer: This non-correlation may be due to two factors: first, because of the low rate of high HER2 expression in EBVaGC, a larger EBVaGC cohort may be needed to reveal the statistically significant relationship between LMP2A and HER2 expression; second, there are other fragments encoded by EBV that may suppress HER2 expression in EBVaGC simultaneously, such as EBNA1 which was reported to be a suppressor of HER2 in human ovarian cancer [33,34].
