LEP and chronic kidney disease: At univariate analysis, only ghrelin (HR 1.01; 95% CI 1.00 – 1.01; x2: 2.87; p 0.005), obestatin (HR 1.13; 95 CI 1.03 – 1.24; x2: 3.71; p 0.009), leptin (HR 0.92; 95% CI 0.88 – 0.95; x2: 5.36; p 0.0006), the presence of metastatic lesions (HR 1.15; 95% CI 1.25 – 8.02; x2: 2.12; p 0.01) and chronic kidney disease (HR 2.19; 95% CI 1.11 – 4.34; x2: 2.37; p 0.02) were significantly associated with the endpoint, whereas body weight decrease, hemoglobin, albumin and age failed to reach statistical significance.
