CALM3 and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: A previous study [35] reported that the −34T > A CALM3 polymorphism in the promoter (5′-flanking region) is a potential modifier for familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy because it affects the expression levels of CALM3. Our study found that BMD was associated with both rs11083838 polymorphisms in the 5′-flanking region of CALM3 and rs12461917 polymorphisms in the 3′-flanking region.
