The results of Pacholska-Bogalska et al (14), analyzing P1-IGF-1 DNA from blood and tissue cells with CIN and cervical cancer, revealed that a single nucleotide polymorphism at position −383 C>T P1 promoter IGF-1 was present in 16% of HPV-positive patients with precancerous and cancerous changes of the cervix. This evidence concerns the gene IGF1 and cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
