In addition, experimental design should be improved in the following areas: (1) double-blind studies should be designed to avoid bias; (2) the cohorts of healthy individuals, hepatitis patients, and liver cirrhosis patients should be compared as separate groups; (3) the study could use two or more different GPC3 antibodies to measure GPC3 level; (4) it is important to examine the stability of GPC3 during long-term storage.
