Interestingly, a CpG-SNP in the promoter of CYP17A1 is associated with Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia and testosterone levels in infertile males and the degree of methylation in the SNP site was high in colon and stomach tissue while low in testis, kidney and adrenal gland [120].
