Overall, our combined results based on available data from of all the studies revealed that the Arg399Gln polymorphism in XRCC1 gene was associated with increased risk of glioma among Chinese people in all genetic models, which was consistent with the conclusion of individual studies involving the Arg399Gln polymorphism [26]–[28], [37]–[41]. This evidence concerns the gene XRCC1 and central nervous system cancer.
