VEGFA and angiosarcoma: Interestingly, the authors reported low levels of VEGF-A in the angiosarcoma tumors, suggesting that angiosarcomas with low VEGF-A levels and constitutively activated VEGFR2 signaling may be better suited to targeting with tyrosine kinase inhibitors such as sunitinib or sorafenib, but not with antibody therapies such as bevacizumab [19].
