In the present study, the renal expression levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were increased in the hyperlipidemia group when compared with the normal control group, and XZK treatment was shown to reduce TNF-α and IL-6 expression compared with the hyperlipidemia group, indicating that TNF-α and IL-6 may be involved in kidney damage, and XZK may function by reducing the expression levels of TNF-α and IL-6.
