After standardizing for gender and age, the prevalence of obesity was clearly lower in users of sulfonylureas, insulin and analogues, and in those with no glucose-lowering drug use as compared with metformin users (PR: 0.5, 95% CI: 0.4–0-8; PR: 0.4, 95% CI: 0.3–0.7; PR: 0.6, 95% CI: 0.5–0.8, respectively). The gene discussed is INS; the disease is obesity disorder.
