In conclusion, our study demonstrated the BRAF V600E mutation was an independent prognostic factor for colon cancer patients and was the first study on Chinese patients to find that KRAS codon 13 mutations (in particular, c.38G > A, p.G13D), but not codon 12 mutations, were associated with poor prognosis in BRAF wild-type CRCs. Here, KRAS is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
