miR-24 is transcriptionally upregulated in breast cancer with lymph node metastasis in part by MYC (Li et al., 2013a), and overexpression of miR-24 in MCF-7 breast cancer cells promotes invasion and metastasis through repression of SPRY2 and subsequent MAPK activation (Li et al., 2013a).
