GRIN2B and neuroblastoma: In their study, they found that phosphorylation of the GluN2B subunit of the NMDA receptor at tyrosine residue 1472 was transiently increased by Aβ oligomers in Fyn-overexpressing neuroblastoma cells and in cortical cultures; longer treatment with Aβ oligomers (1–3 h) resulted in decreased phospho-GluN2B levels, which correlated with an increase in the level of STEP protein phosphatase.
