Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) is a hematopoietic malignancy characterized by the presence of the Philadelphia chromosome that arises from a reciprocal translocation between the Bcr gene on chromosome 22 and the c-Abl gene on chromosome 9, resulting in the formation of Bcr-Abl oncogene [1], [2]. This evidence concerns the gene BCR and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
