The subgroup of BB-DP rats with myenteric ganglionitis was characterized by more PMN cells in the lamina propria, higher mucosal and muscular MPO values and lower TEER compared to the control group, but also compared to the non-ganglionitis subgroup of the BB-DP rats, which behaved similarly to the control group (Table 1). The gene discussed is MPO; the disease is ganglion or cyst of synovium/tendon/bursa.
