In addition, the frequencies of genetic alterations in surgically-resected, snap-frozen samples and FFPE samples from patients with squamous cell lung cancer were analyzed (Figure 2), and the following alterations were detected: EGFR mutation in 8% and 5%, KRAS mutation in 3% and 5%, PIK3CA mutation in 17% and 9%, EGFR copy number gain in 8% and 2%, PIK3CA copy number gain in 19% and 11%, and FGFR1 copy number gain in 8% and 2%, respectively. Here, FGFR1 is linked to squamous cell lung carcinoma.
