As shown in Figure 2A, treatment with wortmannin resulted in a dose-dependent reduced phosphorylation of AKT (p-AKT) and its downstream target GSK3β (p-GSK3β), but not total AKT or GSK3β, in four esophageal cancer cell lines, KYSE150, HKESC-1, KYSE270, and T.Tn. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and esophageal cancer.
