In the study, we aimed to evaluate the roles of Pim-1 kinase in tumorigenesis and drug resistance of NSCLC, and to explore the possible mechanism underlying Pim-1 dysregulation in lung carcinogenesis by: evaluating the clinicopathologic significance of Pim-1 through analysing the expression in 101 human NSCLCs tissues using quantitative PCR, Western Blot and immunohistochemical studies, determining its role in NSCLC and drug resistance using in vitro assays, and investigating the regulatory mechanism of miR-486-5p and eIF4E on Pim-1 expression in lung tumorigenesis. Here, EIF4E is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
