Compared to patients who had high peritumoral expression of NRP-1, patients with low peritumoral NRP-1 expression had a markedly larger tumor size (p = 0.019), a greater number of satellite lesions (p = 0.009), and a higher proportion of grade 3 and 4 inflammatory activity (p = 0.003) and stage 4 hepatic cirrhosis of peritumoral liver tissue (p = 0.001) (Table 1).
