CAMK4 and Stroke: Knockout of CaMK IV significantly increased the size of infarcts in the cortex, the striatum and total hemisphere at 72 hours after stroke onset (cortex: 66.1 ± 3.1% in the KO versus 56.5 ± 2.6% in the WT, p < 0.05, striatum: 72.6 ± 3.4% in the KO versus 60.0 ± 2.5% in the WT, p < 0.05, total: 61.6 ± 3.0% in the KO versus 46.1 ± 4.0% in the WT p < 0.05, n = 8 for each group) (Figure 2E and F).
