Our results revealed that Ecadherin over-expression significantly enhanced paclitaxel sensitivity in cervical cancer cells with or without miR-375 over-expression, suggesting that Ecadherin over-expression dramatically enhances paclitaxel sensitivity, further, re-expression of Ecadherin reverses, at least partly, the EMT phenotype and paclitaxel-resistance mediated by miR-375 in cervical cancer cells. The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is cervical cancer.
