Our previous investigation found that if the number of CD4+ T or CD8+ T cells, or the ratio between them, changed, then immune functions may become disordered leading to a disease state in patients with GBS [5].Studies have also shown that the number of CD4+ T cells in patients with GBS decreased while CD8+ T cells increased, especially in the progressive stage. Here, CD8A is linked to Guillain-Barre syndrome.
