We then evaluated the association between IRS-2 Gly1057Asp genotype and clinical phenotypes in all subjects of both PCOS (n = 95) and control (n = 74) groups and found the levels of fasting insulin, and HOMA index were significantly higher in women carrying the homozygous Asp/Asp genotype than their counterparts (Gly/Gly and Gly/Asp) (Table 3).
