Particularly, the peak area ratio of HCC to the normal group was 6.5 and 66.5 for the nonglycopeptide and deglycopeptide, respectively, indicating that total AFP concentration is a useful index for liver cancer diagnostics and that measuring the fraction of glycosylated AFP that has been treated by PNGase F is a more important element in HCC diagnosis.
