This analysis of treated outcomes in a cohort of stage III CRC patients treated with FU/LV or IFL showed that, after controlling for unexpected non-proportional hazards, MRE11 status is significantly prognostic for both DFS and OS, and remains significant when adjusted for clinicopathologic variables and published significant markers such as MMR, KRAS, BRAF, and p53. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
