Of note, UTX overexpression was associated with poor patient outcome in our series, which was not the case for EZH2. This finding is in accordance with a recent report showing that UTX overexpression is associated with poor outcome in breast cancer.33 In contrast with previous studies, however, we did not observe a negative impact of EZH2 expression on patient outcome [34].
