HPSE and cancer: Heparanase expression has been linked to tumorigenesis in a number of different cancers, for example, acute myeloid leukaemia [19], bladder, brain [20], breast [21], colon [22], gastric [23], oesophageal [24], oral [25], pancreatic [14], and cervical cancer [26], suggesting that it may be a suitable target for drug therapy.
