Curcumin induces apoptosis in a range of tumor cell lines through activation of caspase-3, cytochrome c release, and downregulation of bcl-2 [39–42]. Curcumin has shown an apoptotic effect by inhibiting various genes such as protein tyrosine kinase, protein kinase C, c-myc mRNA expression, and bcl-2 mRNA expression [43] and also mitochondrial pathway. Here, BCL2 is linked to neoplasm.
