These previous studies suggest that IGF-1, IGF-2 and IGF-1R expression levels are associated with the development of endometrial adenocarcinoma, highlighting the crucial role of IGF-1R function in EC and the importance of altered IGF-1R gene expression in the development of the malignant phenotype (15–17). The gene discussed is IGF1R; the disease is endometrium adenocarcinoma.
