As expected, compared with the normal controls, mice in the asthma model exhibited AHR (decreased LogPC100Penh), higher BAL number of total cells, lymphocytes, eosinophils and neutrophils, elevated BAL concentration of IFN-γ, IL-6 and IL-13, as well as higher pathological inflammatory score and mRNA expressions of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-5, CXCL-1 and IL-17) in lung tissues (Figure 2).
