Similarly, our study demonstrated the three TGF-β isoforms could induce a significant increase of N-cadherin and claudin-1 expression at both mRNA and protein level and increase migration in the serous adenocarcinoma cell line, NIH-OVCAR3 in the presence of E-cadherin, which suggests the expression of E-cadherin does not preclude the TGF-β induced enhanced migration of NIH-OVCAR3. Here, TGFB1 is linked to serous adenocarcinoma.
