While the authors reported that gal-7 expression in tissue samples was primarily detected in the nuclei and occasionally in the cytoplasm, our IHC, confocal microscopy and western blot analysis suggest that extracellular gal-7 is released outside the cells and may have a significant impact on tumor progression by inducing immunosuppression and increasing the invasive behavior of tumor cells. Here, LGALS7 is linked to neoplasm.
