An important finding is the reduction in the number of farmers reporting poisoning symptoms after pesticide spraying which might be related to the improvement seen in the KAP variables, and especially in the two variables ‘reading instructions for use’ and ‘refrain from blowing spray nozzle when obstructed’, as they have been found to be independent risk factors for self-reported symptoms of pesticide poisoning and Acetylcholine-esterase depression [18]. Here, ACHE is linked to depressive disorder.
