The possibility that TMP averts H2O2-provoked endothelial dysfunction by inhibiting NADPH oxidase is supported by our findings that its actions were similar to those of apocynin and DPI in both isolated aortic rings (compare Table 1 with Figure 1 and Table 2 with Figure 2) and primary aortic endothelial cells (Table 4, Figure 4). This evidence concerns the gene FMO5 and endothelial dysfunction.
