ST1087 is a novel ST that produced CTX-M-15 in combination with OXA-1 and TEM-1 as well as aac(6)-lb-cr and qnrB. It was also noted to be less susceptible to ciprofloxacin (0/13 vs 18/68; p = 0.03) and to cause higher rates of infection in febrile neutropaenic patients than other ESBL-KP isolates (5/13 vs 7/68; p = 0.02). Here, CD248 is linked to infection.
