A longer time interval between AFP and age at diagnosis reduced the HRs of BCSM (HR = 0.97, 95% CI: 0.96–0.98, p < 0.001) and OM (HR = 0.98, 95% CI: 0.97–0.98, p < 0.001) in premenopausal breast cancer patients, but had no significant effect on BCSM, but a longer time interval between AFP and age at diagnosis increased the HR of OM in postmenopausal breast cancer patients (HR = 1.03, 95% CI: 1.02–1.03, p < 0.001) (Table 6). Here, AFP is linked to breast carcinoma.
