Based on a number of biological endpoints tested including cell proliferation, migration, growth in soft agar, apoptosis, senescence and gene expression it was demonstrated that the N131Y mutant had a phenotype more related to the common tumour mutants R248W and R273C, whereas behaviour of clone Q104L resembled more the phenotype of a cell with wild-type p53 (Odell et al., 2013). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is neoplasm.
